End-of-Year Exams in the 3rd Grade – Basic Information
End-of-year exams at St. Edith Stein High School are part of the school’s curriculum. In order to objectively assess the level of language proficiency achieved during the first half of their studies in the bilingual program, students are required to take the so-called end-of-semester exams at the end of the first semester of the third year at the B2 level.
Midterm Exam in the First Semester of the 3th Grade at St. Edith Stein High School takes the form of the international B2 First exam (formerly the Cambridge First Certificate in English – FCE). The end-of-year exam consists of written sections and an oral section. The final exam grade is reflected in the course grade English language and conversation in English in the first semester of the third year.
The written and oral components take place on different days, usually at the end of January of the given school year. During the written and oral components, students are evaluated by the teachers of the respective subjects.
The end-of-year exam consists of two written sections and one oral section:

The final grade from the end-of-year exam carries a weight of 4 and forms part of the assessment for the subjects English Language and English Conversation in the first semester of the 3rd grade, along with the other grades the student receives during that semester.
