ISIC/EURO<26 STUDENT ID CARD

ISIC/EURO<26 Student ID Card is a multifunctional card available to elementary and high school students aged 6 and older. Students can easily obtain it by ordering it at www.ubian.sk or directly through their high school.

USE OF THE ISIC/EURO<26 STUDENT CARD

• Student ID Card – The ID card features the school’s logo, the school’s name, the student’s personal information, and a photograph, and is used to identify the student both on and off school grounds.
• Universal transportation smart card (public transit, intercity buses, rail transport) – TransData s.r.o. and UBIAN provide a public transportation app on the card, which is stored on the contactless chip inside the card. The student ID card in the ISIC/EURO<26 design therefore also serves as a transit card, allowing students to travel on nearly all suburban buses and public transit in Slovakia at a discounted fare. For rail travel, students with an updated Student ID Card are entitled to free travel on ZSSK trains (registration is required to use free rail travel; current information is available at www.zssk.sk). The card also entitles the holder to discounted fares on Leo Express trains.

The card features an active electronic wallet provided by the transit operator, which allows you to top up your fare credit or purchase a discounted prepaid pass (tram pass) directly on the card—conveniently online via the website or app UBIAN.

The eligibility for a transportation discount via the electronic wallet is stored exclusively on the card’s chip and is valid for one school year. When a new student card is issued, it comes with all features already activated. To extend the validity of the transportation discount for the next school year, the student simply pays the fee via  Ubian or SMS

• ISIC International Student Identity Card –  The green side of the card and the ISIC sticker for the current academic year constitute the ISIC (International Student Identity Card) license and ensure that the cardholder is recognized as a full-time student anywhere in the world. This gives them access to more than 110,000 discounts and benefits in Slovakia and around the world. Locations where ISIC discounts and benefits can be used are usually marked with a sticker featuring the ISIC logo.

• Access card– Thanks to the contactless chip embedded in the card, it can also be used for attendance tracking or to grant access to school buildings and facilities.
• A chip card that replaces paper meal vouchers – Thanks to the contactless chip embedded in the card, it can also be used to track meal purchases in our school cafeteria.
• – Thanks to the contactless chip embedded in the card, it can also be used to track meal purchases in our school cafeteria. – The card can be used as a ticket for certain cultural or sporting events purchased through Ticketportal. When booking through Ticketportal, simply enter the chip number.
• A discount card for use in Slovakia and abroad – With this card, you can get discounts at more than 110,000 locations in Slovakia and around the world. For example, in stores, online shops, movie theaters, at Orange, swimming pools, when traveling, for insurance, and at driving schools. HOW TO GET AN ISIC CARD

The new ISIC/EURO<26 card can only be obtained at the elementary or secondary school the student attends. A list of elementary and secondary schools where the card can be obtained is available at https://isic.sk/zoznam-skol-ss-a-zs/.

 HOW TO APPLY FOR A NEW ID CARD

• The student or legal guardian fills out the order form https://ubian.azet.sk/login, fill in the information, upload a photo, and pay the fee for issuing a new card (€25.30)
• The card will be delivered to the school and given to the student

 The ISIC/EURO<26 card is always valid for one academic year —from September 1 to September 30 of the following academic year.

ID PHOTOS 

• When ordering a new ISIC card, use a photo from your gallery and simply upload it to the designated field on the order form.

The photo for a student ID must meet several basic criteria:

• The person in the photo is looking at the camera,
• the head is centered in the photo,
• The lighting on the face is even.

   1. With an ISIC card

Use of the card to receive discounts and benefits when purchasing goods and services.
The ISIC and EURO<26 license is renewed by purchasing an ISIC sticker for the new school year, priced at €13. The sticker can be ordered and paid for via the online store:

When placing an order, you must select a delivery method, namely:

• Delivery of the stamp to the school – Once payment has been successfully processed, the stamp will be delivered to the school, where you will need to pick it up from the school office upon notification. The advantage of delivery to the school is that the student/legal guardian does not have to pay the €3 delivery fee. PLEASE NOTE! The report card can be ordered through the school from June 1 to October 31 of the given school year.

OR

• home delivery – The stamp will be delivered by courier directly to your home address. In this case, a fee of €3 applies.

Once you receive it, you must affix the sticker to your ID card.

You can send a renewal SMS from the networks of the following carriers: Orange, Slovak Telekom, O2, and 4ka.

You will receive a confirmation text message shortly, this message costs 3.69€. All other text messages are free of charge.

After a successful payment, you will receive an SMS with the following instructions:

"To activate your pass, tap your card on the terminal at school or on a publicly accessible terminal."

The school terminal is located in the school office.

After placing the card against the terminal, you will receive a confirmation text message that the chip has been successfully renewed, and the card is valid for use on public transportation.

• Through the UBIAN app – using (activating) the card as a transit pass (pdf)

You need to log in or sign up for the free UBIAN app.

If the card is not yet registered in the app, you need to register it at http://www.ubian.sk via the "New Card" option (NOTE: Do not use the "New Student ID" option.)

Eligibility for the transportation discount for the next school year is extended by paying a renewal fee of €3.69 via credit card.

After a successful payment, you must scan your card at the school terminal to activate the discount. The terminal will extend the discount’s validity, and the card will then be valid for use on public transportation.

The school terminal at our school is located in the school office and is accessible every weekday during breaks.

Renewal of student ID cards for the new school year is available starting June 1. To ensure that students can fully take advantage of the discount with every transit provider even during the summer break, we recommend that they renew their transit discount as a matter of course and not wait until September.

Validity of discounts for BUS/RAIL transportation during the 2025/2026 school year

• Students in subsequent grades—i.e., grades 1 and 4—have the following validity period: September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026
• Students in their final year—i.e., the graduating class—have the following validity period set:

01.09.2025 – 30.06.2026

 

NOTICE (applies to students with a student ID card after the first year of use) !

When renewing the card for subsequent school years , it is not mandatory to renew both parts of the card —that is, discounts on transportation and discounts on goods and services. It is up to the student to decide whether to use both types of discounts.

Real-world examples:

• If a student wishes to use the card solely for transportation in the coming years, they can extend its validity simply by sending a renewal text message and tapping the card on the terminal.
• If a student or legal guardian decides to continue using transportation discounts as well as discounts and benefits when purchasing goods and services, they must purchase an ISIC card in addition to sending the renewal SMS. 
• If a student or legal guardian does not wish to use the card for transportation or for discounts on goods and services, they should not purchase a transportation pass or send a renewal text message for transportation. The card can still be used as an access chip card to record arrivals and departures from school and to track meal purchases at the school cafeteria.

 

ISIC CARD DUPLICATE

It will no longer be possible to order duplicates through aSc School Agenda.

In the event of loss, damage, or theft of the original ISIC card, or in the event of a transfer from another school where the student was issued an ISIC card, the holder of a valid card may request a replacement.

Payment for the duplicate order is made directly online on the specified websites.

 

The order includes:

• issuance of a replacement card
• Transfer of a valid ISIC license from the original card to a duplicate
• Registration of a transportation permit valid for the current academic term
• blocking of the original card
• Issuance of a CONFIRMATION OF DUPLICATE CHIP CARD ISSUANCE for the purpose of transferring any remaining travel tickets or e-wallet balance from the original card to the new card
• Delivery of a duplicate and a confirmation.

Price of a duplicate: €12.30

A duplicate will be issued once the payment has been credited to our account.

The original card (chip and transport function) will be automatically blocked.
