Educational guidance at our school is provided by Mgr Mária Stašková.
The educational guidance counsellor offers pupils and their legal guardians professional support in addressing educational, learning and personal difficulties. She supports them in overcoming challenges at school, improving relationships and seeking solutions to demanding situations.
Guidance in the field of education and learning is provided in the following situations:
- Unsatisfactory academic results in individual subjects.
- Behavioural problems at school or outside school.
- Conflicts and misunderstandings between a pupil and a teacher.
- Concerning relationships between classmates, including bullying, social exclusion or manifestations of violence.
- Other educational or personal difficulties that may affect school attendance and performance.
- Support for pupils experiencing psychological strain, anxiety or school-related stress.
- Assistance in preparing and developing an Individual Education Plan (IVP) or an Individual Learning Plan (IUP) in cooperation with teachers and parents.
- Support for form tutors in resolving conflicts and problematic situations within the class.
- Professional support for teaching staff in addressing educational challenges.
Cooperation with institutions and specialists
- Communication and coordination with the Centre for Pedagogical and Psychological Counselling and Prevention (Zuzkin Park 10, Košice).
- Linking the school with specialist organisations focused on supporting young people (Research Institute of Child Psychology and Pathopsychology, IPčko).
Coordination and preventive activities
- Cooperation with the school coordinator for primary prevention, focusing on substance misuse and socially pathological phenomena.
- Close cooperation with the support team in order to ensure comprehensive care for the pupil.
