Prevention at GYMES
Prevention at our school is focused on preventing the occurrence of undesirable socio-pathological phenomena not only within our school environment, but also during our students’ free time. Our goal is to motivate students to adopt a responsible and healthy attitude toward themselves, others, life, and their surroundings.
The main topics we address in the context of prevention are, in particular:
- building positive relationships in the classroom,
- creating a pleasant school-wide atmosphere,
- building students' self-confidence, positive self-image, and sense of self-worth,
- education on a healthy lifestyle and encouraging people to adopt it,
- prevention of substance and non-substance addictions and other forms of pathological behavior,
- promotion of charity and altruism.
As part of GYMESE’s internal prevention efforts, carried out by members of the Student Council together with homeroom teachers and other educators, our school also collaborates with several external organizations. Throughout the school year, we organize various discussions, discussions, long-term activities, lectures, sports and cultural events, workshops, and fundraisers.
